Last year, in November, i had the chance to talk to Sir Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the London Olympic Games. And what he said struck me deep.
He said that "It is all about how badly the country wants it".
Having been closely ssociated with sports in this nation, i feel that they will DEFINITELY make the shortlist for Bidding city. There is no denying that Doha has rganisational capabilities/. They have been holding so many international level competitions. Many Qataris are also on top level administrative posts in various international organisations. Brigadier Dahlan Al hamad, IAAF VP and Shatri, Asian Gymnastics Association president are two names which immediately comes to mind.
I think its time the Olympics came to the Middle East. They have a good chance to make it, and they will.
