When I was in Qatar I made it a policy not to drive at night unless I really had to. It's at night and in the early hours of the morning that the loonies come out. There was one time I'd been working late and was driving back into Doha on the North road, I was the meat in the sandwich between two land bruisers, driven by young kids who were racing each other. I had absolutely nowhere to go and just did my best to make sure they didn't hit me as they went past at 130kph+. These kids had no awareness of the danger they were creating for themselves and everybody else on the road, this was their idea of fun! That is the problem, how do you get it across to them that their 'fun' may result in their killing themselves and other innocent road users?
