I have a South African teacher friend in Bahrain. She was not allowed into Qatar without getting a visa in advance. It seems teachers are not in the same class as a salesman for example who does not need a visa in advance. I presume the same will apply in UAE as in Qatar as it's all part of the GCC agreement.
