Eid is a day of celebration for Muslims worldwide. We have 2 Eids; Eid El Fitr and Eid Al Adha. The first one is to celebrate the completion of Ramadan's fasting (same we did today).

The second is to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Isma'il) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a sheep to sacrifice instead. It coincides with the fifth pillar of Ismal which is Pilgrimage (or Haj), and it takes place 2 months and 10 days after Eid El Fitr.
