I live in Alkhor, very simple life,..very boring,.. in friday (week end) you'll wake to see waves and waves of bachelors going and coming in the main commercial street (the only street here).
if you have kids..you'll be in trouble since there's no private schools nor nurserie. there's no even a place for kids to have fun. except the chornich which is crowded of bachelors day time and dark at night time...
who said that it's cheap to rent here...!! if you find a house here (maybe with 15,000 Q.R to say it's a house). i spend two years to find a very old house. most houses are camps for bachelors.
Doha is better, even crowded, nice city, if you find a house near qatar university you'll need 50 min. to reach Ras Laffan.
