In your post you said you are a UK muslim guy and you are worried about getting a female companionship... I think Qatar is not like bfore now... But don't expect the culture here to be same as UK. Here lots of socializing is happening if you are a person of that kind. You will get here female companionship but legally it will not be as it is in UK. So you have to find your own way.. living together is forbidden here but still lots of westerners and doing it. But I think in every society most of the females prefer a committed relationsip it is no exception here. So if you want to find someone for a committed relationship, u will definitely find and if you just want to play around and have fun.. you will have some luck but still it is illegal as per the law of Qatar and offcourse Islam also does not permit it.
