hi, i have a 2 year old son born premature. people used to tell me that he will be picky with food but we tried to train him as early as possible. he was 4 months when i started giving semi solid and 8 month old when i gave him meat. but see to it that you give a balanced diet. i make it a point that there are days that he'll have veggies (greens are good for digestion) and there will be days i'll give non veg. avoid fried food if possible it is always safe if food are steamed, or boiled.
as kids grows up, they know taste so try to be very creative. my son knows too well the lunch i gave him so i cant give him the same for dinner... try to google sites where you can find recipes so there is variations on what you're giving...
for me, i love baking and my sons cheers for me everytime i put muffins or cakes on the table. baking isnt difficult, its actually fun and time to bond with your tot.
also, try serving the meal in different bowls and spoons as it will make them excited if they see different things.
