Your legal obligation is to phone the police and make a statement. If you have the other vehicles details that is good - then all you can do is leave it to the police.

your insurance will pay for the damage (if you have comprehensive insurance that is). Whatever insurance cover you have, you cannot get the repair completed without the police report - the garage will ask you for that.
