The other way is to bring your husband in on a visit visa. This is valid for 21 days, and can be extended by 14 days. You can apply for this just behind the airport at the Government offices. Ask around.
If you get this visit visa your husband can apply for work in Qatar, as a local recruit, and the company will then add him on their sponsorship.
