i wouldn't have use to the cat example because like you said women are not animals.nor is getting a wife like a pet.
but look at it this way. people have more than one kid. does a person have more than one kid because they don't like their first child anymore?
now i personally would prefer not to be in a polygamous situation. but i never condemn women that do choose it.nor do i judge them. and like a i said men have different reasons for getting another. it's just not one reason for it.
and i women who are in polygamous marriages.they are ok with it. and other women that i know that were not ok with it just got a divorce.
that's why i say to muslim women, that if they don't want their husbands ever getting a 2nd wife they need to put it in the marriage contract before they even get married to the man.
