take one cauli - divide it into whatever size you fancy (biggish is best to prevent it overcooking)
I usually add several cloves of garlic crushed with salt to the water
simmer cauli in the water until just tender

meantime, make a white sauce (butter, flour and milk + seasoning
add strong cheddar cheese until it tastes cheesey enough for you

pour the sauce over the cauli and eat

I usually serve it with some grilled tomatoes on top and crusty bread on the side.

make sure the lavatory is free in the morning !
