In the town where I currently live in England, one of the largest Sikh temples in Britain was recently completed and open to worshippers and the public alike.
A male friend and I went to visit it the day after it opened. Before being allowed into the Prayer Hall we first were requested to take off our shoes and to put on a headscarf. They supplied a selection of these for both men and women.
And, of course, traditionally, brides from many nationalities, cultures or religious sects may choose to cover their head AND face with a veil - yes?
You know, it isn't all THAT many years ago that I was almost refused entry into a well known London wine bar because I was wearing trousers! (I offered to take them off, but they decided it was ok to keep them on provided I kept my coat done up. hee hee)
Stroll on! "Watch out for the pedestrian.....It's on the road; it knows the risks its taking!"
