ADD is not a disease, the last D stands for "Disorder" and has nothing to do with "attention seeking" which is more like a behavioural problem really. In fact ADD is related to short attention spans and inability to concentrate in tasks for a decent period of time. In children it can be mistaken for a high drive for phisical activity. It rarely affects adults, as eventually they learn to increase their concentration spans, but it is likely to cause learning disabilities in young children.

Just to clarify.
