I haven't heard anything good being said about the American Hospital and that's from lots of sources. Maybe other QL'ers disagree but that's what I've been told first hand.
Al Emadi seems good, modern and with some good doctors.
For real emergencies I always resort to Hamad. I know there they don't do it for profit. Had to take a family member there a few months ago. We had to wait because some car accident victims had priority but the treatment was good and the stitches aren't visible. Their doctors need human interaction training, though, but ultimately the care is good.
