Ok I don't know why everyone has jumped on the virus infected wagon, considering you haven't mentioned anything about a virus :s.
There are a few reason why you can't see your files.
First of all...can you see the USB drive in "my computer"?
What operating system are you using?
What file system is it using? NTFS/,FAT32?FAT16 etc as certain formates on certain operating systems can not be seen..
Is it a USB 1.1 or 2.0 device, sometimes PC's that don't support USB 2.0...tend to struggle with some usb 2.0 devices as the power rating cant make the device function correctly.
The fodlers could have been set to " be hidden"
So many options, of whichI cant help you until you tell me when the problem started, if you changed PC....etc etc
