Injeel is what Christians called the new testaments. They have 4 books which are according to the disciples of Jesus(PBUH). Mark, Matthew, John and Luke. After that we have the Books of Revelations according to another John and a few more called Letters. These four books tell the story of Jesus(PBUH). But I dont think we have a clear idea of what constitutes the Injeel, i.e., what was revealed to Jesus(PBUH). Because no where in these four books, Jesus said: God has revealed this to me.
Instead and according to Jesus(PBUH)words, he was not sent with new rules like Moses(PBHU). He was sent to the lost tribes of Israel(referring to the Sadducees and Pharisees who were going astray) and to maintain the same Laws of Moses(PBUH) which were followed by the Jews of his time.
But these books have been written long time after Jesus departure from this world. They were written at different times under different governors. I have read them. I like the bit where Jesus said: Love thy enemy. Love thy neighbour. And he without sin let him cast the frst stone(relating to the stoning of Mary Magdalene).
But the Zaboor, man this is something solid. They called it the Psalms of David. The way Allah is praised in that book, wow, you'll love the words.
Btw, I professed many religion before I embraced Islam. I think my reading of the previous Revelations helped me appreciate the Quran and understand it more.
Regards.
