i havent gone to the zoo and i wont go to the zoo i have heard negative things about it and i dont believe in zoos ( yep in an animal rights, tree hugging hippy!). however if we dont have zoos then how will children be taught about the wonderful and amazing animal world if they dont see them up close? Im more for safari parks and nature reserves - but then not everyone is lucky enough to be able to afford to go to these places. its a shame that we have to house animals in small cages thou and most of the animals are endangered species in zoos due to humanitys greed.
Qatar has a number of animal sanctuarys if you want to see animals thou , i have seen camels, flamingos and ostrichs in the wild out here thats a much better day out for those who wish to enjoy nature as it was meant to be enjoyed.
