QLs fickle Qatar football fans

I remember not so long ago people on QL got all excited about the Qatar football team getting through to the final qualifying stage of the World Cup.

However, since the results of that stage have gone against Qatar (P6 W1 D1 L4 F4 A13) and they sit bottom of the group they rarely get mentioned any more.

Are QLs Qatar football supporters really so fickle that they only talk about it when the team are doing well?

As far as I'm aware even last nights derby match with Bahrain hasn't been mentioned.

Were you 'banged to rights' or was it a 'fit up'?

Did you keep your head down and your nose clean or did you go stir crazy?

What were you sent down for?

You are in Prison, right?

:)

"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365

not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the

many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc because no specific numbers

were given. Satan - 10."

When's the Qatar domestic football season?

Are local teams well supported? Also, when are matches played? (weekends, evenings)

Could be a form of entertainment when I get out!

How come he was fired/left?

Yeah I agree jmasolle, Fossati was the first coach to ever take Qatar this far into the WC Qualifiers, but since they fired him, they are doing terrible. There's absolutely no hope for them at all.

I know for sure though, wherever Fossati is right now, he is laughing.. and this is what QFA deserve for being so downright stupid. Qatar had a chance with Fossati, without him, never.

It`s not hard to notice what happened!!! since coach Fosatti was fired, the team started loosing.

He was the one to lead Qatar to this final stage and he was first of the group (with 4 ponts) when he was dissmised....since then the team did not win nor ever tie one game... So it´s the qatar football federation to blame for the poor results...

...like to know when those Games are on. Can anyone suggest a Site where it mentions Football games, that are going on in Qatar (QFL and International Games).

Or are they mentioned here somewhere and I just missed it?

they've only gotten this far because half of the team are purchased from other countries.

we should be looking forward to the socceroos officially booking their place in south africa after we smash qatar on 6th june.

I am very sorry for Qatar . They were too early happy with their victory over Uzbekistan ( Qatar vs Uzbekistan 3 - 0 ) last year. But we really showed them who is Uzbekistan, winning 4 - 0 at home.

We are not the worst in the group, hope to win next games against Japan & Bahrain.

It was like when the England & Wales cricket team won the Ashes a few years back. I'd never seen so many cricket fans in my life! Johnny-come-latelies we called them.

Reminds me of Panama really, they support the team that wins the Spanish League, their loyalties change every season! Even if you hadn't heard who had won the league that year, you'd know from all the football tops that were on sale which team it was..........

Glory hunters springs to mind!!!!
