Travel to Jordan during Eid al-Adha?

We're planning a trip to Jordon in early December... but now I keep hearing the weather might be miserable. Since we have the Eid off work, that's when we can go. But is it worth missing Petra, Jerash, Dead Sea just because the weather is yucky?
Oh yeah, we are also traveling with a baby and toddler... Any tips?

Baldrick, we did not go to Wadi Rum ... shame :-( Even for Petra we drove down from Amman (4 hrs one way) and drive back. Did not know that the place is huge ... if we knew we book the movenpick petra and explore more in the area...

Novi, The car museum is awesome! I went camping in Wadi Rum - there are lots of sites set up with "luxury" tents.

Taxis were dirt cheap. we hired one between 4 of us for the whole day. he was so cheap we doubled his price as a tip!

petra is awesome, floating on the dead sea is very nice experience too.

if you stay in Amman, try to visit the king's car museum.

we did not do wadi rum and aqaba ... would like to do that on our next visit to Jordan.

Sometimes Jordan can be snowing during winter. I think either last year or the year before last year it was heavy snow in the main road from amman to petre.

We went in March and the weather nice ... although in the chilly side.

The walk down to Petra is pretty tough for little ones. consider using the carts that are available. I went in November and it was bl**dy freezing! Try to get there early or stay late. The colours in the rock really come out best at sunrise/sunset.
