its going to be a long long drive with a lot of paper work.

let me put it in a simple way

1. you have to apply for saudi round trip visa through an agent in doha, cost- 125/pax(8-10 days)

2. car insurance at saudi border 10 riyals/day

3. you have to take a uae round trip visa(specify) at uae border(before traveling check your eligibility for on arrival visa at uae check post, ph-0097128723288), visa fee 150 dirhams/pax

4. car insurance again for uae, 200 dirhams

5. drive through abu dhabhi, dubai, hatta

6. omani visa on arrival,(check your eligibility, only for professionals & managers)cost 5 omani riyals

7. car isurance 12 omani riyals.

8. drive through burhaimi, sohar then muscat.

TOTAL DRIVE OF ABOUT-1500-1600 KMS

hope this will help.

alternatively you can fly to muscat, if you are fond of driving, take a rent-a-car(bus drive will cost you around 10 omani riyals), drive to salalah(1100 km). this is the best time to go to salalah. you will have the best time of your life
