Hi Friends, Let me ask you one doubt?
By mohandasvysakh •
On 6th of July,2010 I travelled from Doha/Kochi flight through Jet Airways. As my e-ticket has been purchased from India, the lady staff of check-in counter charged me for 6 kgs.,overweight-QR475/- (Total wt.of my baggage was 34 kgs.) saying that "You've got the ticket for very cheap rate from India, so you should pay for overweight" (That time in Qatar, the rate was QR 2400/- for Doha/Kochi/Doha return ticket. Sametime in India, I paid IRs.30,700/-!!!)
There's any discriminaion for buying ticket from India?
What about next time??
It's not discrimination but it's just their part of work and rules and regulations..
Even we'd paid for the extra baggage in past while travelled through JET and QATAR AIRWAYS..So no need to feel low about it..thanks
Rates of the tickets always vary with the point of origin and destination. Same is true for baggage allowance. You should have confirmed the allowed baggage allowance before your travel. But to say that " because you pay less by buying cheap tickets from India, you have to pay for extra baggage" is wrong. Price of tickets determine baggage allowance only when you are travelling in different classes like economy/business/first.
