anyone know of a website where i can find the cheapest return flight to the uk?
most of the websites only allow uk as a departing airport, rather than DOH.
I find that Qatar Airways almost always works out at about 950 pounds for two regardless of the exchange rate. They seem to change their prices accordingly. At least for me, at heathrow it's direct. I have had one free QMiles flight out of them too. A tip though, if you have family coming, book from the London office, they have better promotions there, they can save loads on a return flight from UK
Also on kayak.co.uk if you register it lets you compared flexible dates on various airlines - so will look a couple of days either side - and that can really make a difference!
I like kayak.com. They will give a comparison for almost all carriers on that route. I saw the other day that while BA was $5600 in business class DOH-JFK r/t, QR was $9300!
I have been booking tickets for years. Expedia.co.uk is good. it lets you compare prices for a given date with several airlines. I would play around with the dates. this way you have a chance to strike lucky and get an underbooked flight which may mean - cheaper.
if you find a suitable flight with Qatar Airways then it may make sense to buy direct with them here. However due do big Xchange rate variations sometimes it is cheaper to buy in pounds, because the price you get on expedia doesnt reflect the xchange rate variation yet.
another thing is that some flights are very cheap from Dubai. you might want to investigate this. however this journey is less smooth.

The only gulf-based discount airline website is www.uflyonline.com - they are very useful I find.
You will get price comparisons from Qatar Airways, BA, Lufthansa etc.
It's worth checking both kayak.co.uk (£) and kayak.com ($) as they sometimes come up with different routes.
