HH The Amir designates Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah rank of Prime Minister

HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Wednesday, January 8, Amiri Order No. 7 of 2025, designating Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah the rank of Prime Minister. The decision was announced in Qatar’s Official Gazette and is effective starting from its date of issue.

Dr. Al Attiyah was earlier Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs.

In another move, Sheikh Tamim, by Amiri Order No. 6 of 2025, appointed HE Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari as the Minister of State.

Last month, HH The Amir had awarded the Hamad bin Khalifa Sash to Al Attiyah, in appreciation of his great efforts in serving the country.

The awarding was done during HH the Amir’s meeting with Al Attiyah at the Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Majlis at the Amiri Diwan.
