Qatar Charity launches QAR40m aid campaign for Gaza
Qatar Charity (QC), an international charity organization established in 1992 and based in the country, has launched the ‘Labbeh Gaza’ campaign. The campaign aims to provide the people of the Gaza Strip with essentials such as food, shelter, and medicine.
The campaign, which is expected to benefit around 550,000 people, hopes to collect around QAR40m.

The campaign aims to provide aid in four main areas — food, health, shelter, and education. In the food sector, the aid will include food packages, ready-to-eat meals, and others. Shelter assistance encompasses tents, caravans, renovating homes and building housing units.
Health aid will consist of medical supplies, medicines, health sector support, and hospital renovations. Education support involves renovating and building schools and universities and providing scholarships.
Qatar Charity CEO’s Assistant for Resources Development and Media Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo said the organisation dedicated the campaign to the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, considered the best days to complete doing good deeds.
“The campaign was launched due to the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, which is further exacerbated by the acute shortage of basic necessities. I urge Qatar’s generous population, who always aid the needy, to continue supporting the people of Gaza. Your support will help meet Gazans’ essential needs and alleviate their suffering,” he said.
Qatar Charity receives donations through its website, application and through various digital tools and initiatives. More details can be found here.
A staff member from Qatar Charity can also visit your home to make a collection. Once selected via the QCharity App, the system will automatically locate the donor on the map. A request will then be sent to the nearest ‘collector’ for a visit to receive donations.
