Remote working became more common in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic changing our reality and our perception of seeing work. Where the majority of companies have gone back to working from the office, remote working has also picked up the pace. Various countries have also introduced options for their employees to choose from the office or work remotely! Here’s how working remotely can benefit you or your employees:

Flexible arrangements

We are in an era where trial and error, testing, and new methods of working have taken over. Similarly, remote working has proven to be more flexible in most cases as it allows people to work in a more productive format.

Rather than having a desk job or set timings for productivity, remote work allows employees to balance their time, ultimately giving them more space to get in quality work. Research shows that burnout ultimately results in adding more stress so with feasible arrangements, people are allowed to pursue their passion as they learn to manage everything together.

Work-life balance

It's not a myth anymore and it seems like people are now in favor of a work-life balance more than ever. Due to various reasons, employees who are unable to give a 100% to their job often find it difficult to split time between work, family, and any recreational activity or lifestyle change they are willing to adopt. Traditional jobs tend to be stringent and more than often, families and personal needs get affected.

Remote work allows employees to split and divide their time as they strike the right amount of balance. Working late hours at offices is considered a glorified task as compared to achieving smart goals. Currently, over 50% of women have opted for remote working days after childbirth, making sure the company is also able to retain them as they give their children the needed time too!

Employee retention

Bringing in the next important point is employee retention has seen a major upward trend when it comes to remote working. Depending on the nature of work and leadership style, goal-based remote work is seen to be more effective recently. With no one adding pressure and allowing employees to work at their pace, the quality of productivity can be seen to improve remarkably. Further adding to this, employees who get laptops and phones add to their flexibility as well!

New roles

There’s always been a question of whether digitization will take over human jobs but with remote work, it is even easier to answer that. With remote working, new opportunities are being created, eg, for all technical glitches, companies now need engineers who assist people with any trouble employees run into. Companies can be in various places at once as employees are spread all over the world, and the company is seen to be more up-to-date with trends due to a diverse workforce! Is anyone looking for a social media manager from Doha to cover the FIFA World Cup? Remote workers in the city will be giving you all the updates!

Cost cutting

One of the biggest challenges that have been tackled with remote work has to be cost cutting. Depending on company to company, there might not even be a need to get an office made for your employees. Skip the investments and work on meeting your employee’s needs. In return, the remote workers save costs on commute, food, and also clothes! A win-win!
