The 6th edition of "Cultivate Your Home 2022" concluded

With the ever-growing climate-change crisis the world is facing, there is a grave need for everyone to play their part in protecting and preserving the Earth's plants and trees. Countries world-over have started several tree plantation drives and initiatives to make climate-change under control.

In Qatar, the Ministry of Municipality in collaboration with the Al-Faisal Without Borders Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, organized the 6th edition of "Cultivate Your Home 2022". This program aims to instill in every individual, government body, institution and especially among young students, the awareness of climate change and to harbour positive actions to mend the same. The program concluded yesterday.

HE Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie emphasized the importance of agriculture and afforestation, as well as the use of school and home gardens to foster a culture of agriculture and plant and tree care among young people and children, praising the positive results achieved by the "Cultivate Your Home 2022" initiative since its inception in 2015, which clearly reflects the importance of community participation in national initiatives and praising the positive results achieved by the "Cultivate Your Home 2022" initiative since its' launch in 2015.

His Excellency went on to say that the collaboration between the Ministry of Municipality's public parks department and the Al-Faisal Without Borders Foundation resulted in a wide and varied participation of school students in the program, as well as the inclusion of students with special needs, who were a valuable addition to the initiative.

His Excellency expressed his confidence that the initiative's concept will be expanded in the coming stages to include various sectors of education and civil society organizations, and that it will become a major national project through which the ministry seeks to spread the culture of agriculture and greening in the country, all while adhering to the ministry's commitment to providing a clean, healthy environment free of pollution and diseases, and all while adhering to the ministry's procedures, rules, and regulations.

His Excellency emphasized the Ministry of Municipality's commitment to improving the quality of life, providing the best services, and optimal planning to ensure the sustainability of natural resources for future generations as part of its mission, noting that this participatory program is an important opportunity to invest in the next generation and benefit from their national energies and capabilities in a variety of fields.

His Excellency praised the Al-Faisal Without Borders Foundation's role in the program's success, as well as its health and awareness initiatives and efforts, congratulating the students who won the "Cultivate Your Country" initiative, as well as the educational and career cadre supervising the program, and hoping to achieve the program's desired goals of a clean, healthy environment.

His Excellency expressed his delight at the success of this unique program, which has grown to include 35 Qatari schools of various grades and approximately 350 students in this year's edition, praising the Ministry of Municipality and the Department of Public Parks for their full cooperation in putting this wonderful initiative into action.
