MoPH to collect feedback on COVID-19 vaccine side effects in Qatar

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is collecting feedback regarding side effects, if any, faced by individuals who have taken the COVID-19 vaccine.
MoPH had reaffirmed that those who suffer from allergies can still take the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines safely.
One can visit the MoPH website to provide their feedback under the ‘COVID-19 Vaccination Feedback’ section.
The Ministry communicated the importance of feedback as it will allow them to record and monitor any symptoms people have.
It is also proposed that one submits their feedback based on the type of COVID-19 vaccine received, namely the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccine.
Moreover, one will be required to log in using the National Authentication System (NAS) Tawtheeq username (usually the QID) and password. In case you did not use your QID, additional information will be requested to authenticate the identification.
You can create a NAS account if you do not have one already or even reset your password if you have forgotten it.
“With any vaccine, individuals may develop side effects from the vaccine, and it is the same for those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. Minor symptoms that occur after receiving a vaccine are normal and are expected as the body builds immunity,” said the Ministry.
“These side effects can range from very minor side effects to more severe. If you are having any severe side effect, please call 999 or seek medical care in the nearest medical facility,” it added.
According to the MoPH, most people who suffer from allergies can take the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines safely. However, people with any severe allergy to any component of the vaccine should not take it.
The ministry had communicated that during the pre-vaccination assessment carried out before each vaccination, the medical team will ask the patient about any allergies and discuss it with them.
Everyone receiving the vaccine is monitored for a period of 15 minutes following the vaccination to ensure that there are no adverse reactions.
