More than 50,000 quarantine package refunds processed so far: Qatar Airways

Over 50,000 refunds for hotel quarantine packages have been processed to date while further requests are being facilitated, Qatar Airways (QA) highlighted in a post on its Twitter page yesterday.
“We appreciate the patience of our customers as it can take up to 60 days to process refunds,” the airline added.
Referring to the increase in demand for hotel quarantine packages following a recent decision prohibiting home quarantine for travelers, not on the green list, QA said, “Our teams are working round the clock to ensure the continued safety of Qatar and its residents.”
So far, Discover Qatar has helped over 310,000 people to complete their quarantine in 65 hotels in Qatar and provided as many as 5 million meals.
"More than 240 employees are dedicated to welcoming those returning to Qatar as we support the Ministry of Public Health to protect the local community from Covid-19,” QA underlined.
"It has been a huge undertaking to set up an effective and efficient hotel quarantine system that is a model for many other countries," the airline emphasized.
The refund team are working diligently to ensure all refunds are processed promptly within the 60 days of your request and we appreciate your patience during this time.

As the dedicated teams continue processing requests, the airline has asked customers to “Please e-mail all refund requests to [email protected] so we have a record of the date of your refund request.”
Earlier this month, MoPH amended quarantine requirements for travelers arriving in Qatar.
Building on the previously announced return from travel policy to the State of Qatar, it was decided that any previous exemptions from hotel quarantine will no longer apply for people returning to Qatar from countries, not on the green list.
The decision, which came into effect on February 14, 2021, also includes those who were previously excluded from the hotel quarantine before their travel and visitors coming to Qatar.
On February 18, 2021, MoPH also released the quarantine exemption criteria for individuals who have received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Qatar.
According to MoPH, fully vaccinated citizens and residents are exempt from quarantine requirements following travel abroad and following exposure to a COVID-19 positive case as long as the following conditions are met.
Based on the criteria, 14 days must pass after receiving the second dose and a negative PCR test is required on return to Qatar following travel or following exposure.
Furthermore, the quarantine exemption is valid for a period of three months, starting 14 days after the second dose.
The exemption may be extended in the future based on the availability of clinical evidence. Additionally, the exemption does not apply to individuals who have received their vaccinations abroad.

I am not sure how could I characterize the expression "ensure all refunds are processed promptly within the 60 days" when after countless follow-ups, I needed to wait for 100 days to get back 5,000 out of 6,000 I paid for no service provided...but I guess it is what it is...just PR
