HH the Amir graces graduation ceremony of 8th batch of Al Zaeem College

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the graduation ceremony of the eighth batch of Al Zaeem (Leader) Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air College earlier today.
The ceremony, which took place at the Al Udeid Air Base, saw the attendance of several other dignitaries, leaders of security and military academies from Qatar and other friendly countries, including the US, Kuwait, Rwanda, Jordan, among others.
Senior officers from Qatar’s Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, and the State Security Bureau, heads of diplomatic missions in Qatar, as well as the parents of the graduates were also present on the occasion.
The ceremony began with the national anthem after which the Commander of the parade requested HH the Amir to review the queue of 85 graduates. The graduates hail from Qatar, Kuwait, and Rwanda.
A graduates parade and military parade were also part of the program at the ceremony. Following this, HH the Amir honored the top 10 outstanding graduates.
The graduation ceremony included an air show that featured aircraft from the Qatari Amiri Air Force including Rafale, Mirage, C-130, and C-17 transport aircraft and Agusta 139 helicopters.
Aircraft from Al Zaeem College also participated in the show with PC-21, Super Mushshak and H 125 helicopters.
Later, the officers of the right batch took the oath and performed the national anthem.
The graduates have undergone three years of rigorous theoretical and practical training and have secured a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics after successfully fulfilling all requisites.
This graduation comes under exceptional circumstances in light of the COVID-19 pandemic which inflicted huge challenges on all walks of life, pointed out the Acting Commander of Al Zaeem Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air College Brigadier Pilot Abdullah Mubarak Al Mohannadi.
Speaking on the occasion, Al Mohannadi said these circumstances did not deter the College’s plans to expand, develop and modernize in the domains of pilot training and support specialties.
Aiming to develop more professional national cadres in Air Force, the college has introduced new specializations including air traffic control, air supply officer, and airport management specialization.
