To celebrate the Qatar National Day, members of the Bosnian community, together with the representative of the Bosnian embassy were introduced to Qatari history and heritage.

Organized by Sheikha Ali Al-Marri - Member of Youth Advisory Committee for the Minister of Culture & Sports - the delegations visited the Al-Marri family farm, founded in 1970.

It was a great opportunity for the delegation to learn more about Qatari culture and history. As part of the day, the Bosnians were also treated to traditional Qatari food and drinks.

“The visit comes to celebrate the Qatari National Day in the special Qatari way and create opportunities for acquaintance and cooperation between the two cultures”, said Sheikha Ali Al-Marri.

“What we learned today truly opened our eyes to just how many things Qatar and Bosnia have in common. We look forward to continued cultural exchange and invite our Qatari brothers and sisters to visit Bosnia”, said Lejla Suljic.

“It was our honor and an absolute pleasure to be hosted by Sheikha Ali Al-Marri and her kind family on the occasion of Qatari National Day. We learned a lot about the history of Qatar and we offer our sincere congratulations to the Qatari Nation on this historic day, in the name of the entire Bosnian community living here”, said Haris Alisic.
