Top 5 anticipated PlayStation games in Qatar for 2021
Now that some of you have got your hands on Sony’s PlayStation 5, we at Qatar Living wanted to compile a list of games we think many of you can look forward to beyond the holiday period.
With console game developers working vigilantly to meet release dates, it is expected that these games will look gorgeous on the beast gaming console.
Here are five of some of the most anticipated games for the year 2021.
God of War: Ragnarok
Sony announced that the sequel to God of War is expected to release next year and it can also be assumed that this highly anticipated game will also be an exclusive for PlayStation owners.
Sony’s Santa Monica Studio has teased us with just the logo, leaving many fans to believe that Freya will have a big role to play in this game.
Many of us hope that God of War: Ragnarok will feature the same excitement in storytelling, amazing combat, and stunning visuals that were previously present in God of War, which won ‘Game of the year’ in 2018.
Gotham Knights
Revealed at DC Fandome, Gotham Knights is an open-world action RPG that is set in its own universe. Taking place after Batman’s death, you can play as Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin to fight against a new underworld that has taken over Gotham City.
You can play this entirely solo or with friends in co-op mode, with each player having their own progression paths to level up.
The gameplay footage that has already been revealed gives a good idea of what the game combat system is going to look like and we at QL cannot wait to get our hand on this one.
Horizon Forbidden West
Aloy is back in yet another PlayStation exclusive where she will be navigating a larger world while finding a way to stop a mysterious crimson light from destroying the land and all of those within it.
The stunning cinematic trailer released this year for the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel featured some familiar locations under the very same post-apocalyptic world.
Moreover, it indicated that the story would take place in future America, including areas that were once California, Nevada, and much more. Another element added to next year’s game is the underwater exploration and new machine threats.
GhostWire: Tokyo
GhostWire Tokyo is a first-person action-adventure game where 99 percent of Tokyo’s population vanishes and it is up to you to fight the forces that caused it.
The fighting mechanism has been described as karate meets magic as it features a series of intricate martial arts-inspired hand gestures that cast spectral abilities.
You will have to take down menacing paranormal threats wielding fire, water, and electrical attacks. If you loved Doom (2016), you will be happy to know that Shinichiro Hara will be the combat director for this game.
Far Cry 6
The sixth installment to the Far Cary Series arrives in February 2021 and is set in the fictional city of Yara. Your goal is to take down Yara’s dictator, Anton Castillo, whose face many Breaking Bad fans will recognize immediately.
The first-person shooter game will allow you to take down Castillo and his regimen along with Castillo’s son who also plays a leading role in this game.
Like previous Far Cry games, you will use a powerful array of weapons and vehicles, and build a network of allies to fight alongside you.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Bonus Game)
Developers CD Projekt Red announced that The Witcher: Wild Hunt will be making its way to next-gen consoles. Title owners on PlayStation 4 will even get a free upgrade.
The next-gen edition will feature ray tracing, faster loading times, and other improvements for both the base game and downloadable expansions.
There has not been a better reason to purchase or even replay it if you already own this title.
Technical Care Center, Virgin Megastore, Saqr, Geekay Games, and Carrefour Qatar are expected to have these titles in stock once they are released in Qatar.
We will provide you with the latest information so that you can play the latest games on your new console.
