HH the Amir meets senior adviser to US President

Qatar and the United States have always maintained solid bilateral relations.
Over the years, the two nations have vowed to boost strategic cooperation with several agreements across a range of fields including defense, energy, air transport, among others.
Leaders and top officials of the two countries have regularly met and held discussions on regional and international developments and ways to take the Qatari-US bond to new heights.
Yesterday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with senior adviser to the US President Jared Kushner, who arrived in Qatar on an official visit.
During the meeting, HH the Amir and the White House adviser reviewed the close strategic ties between Qatar and the US.
They also discussed a series of issues of common concern, particularly the peace process in the Middle East region.
HH the Amir stressed Qatar's position in this regard that calls for a just settlement of the Palestinian cause supported by international legitimacy resolutions as well as the Arab Peace Initiative.

HH the Amir told Kushner that Doha supports a two-state solution, with East Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state, to end the conflict with Israel, Al Jazeera reported.
During his visit to Qatar, Kushner also met with His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The two officials reviewed bilateral cooperation relations between the two nations. They also delved into issues of common concern.

HE the Minister reiterated Qatar's stance for the peaceful and just solution to the Palestinian cause, based on international legitimacy resolutions the Arab Peace Initiative, and on the two-state solution in a way that achieves security and stability in the region.
