Nedina begins delivery service for groceries, essential items
In an online press conference held recently, Nedina, Qatar’s homegrown online marketplace, announced that it will now begin delivering groceries and essential items to customers' doorstep.
“Keeping with the core objective of serving customers in our community, I am pleased to announce that now our customers will be able to shop groceries and essentials from Nedina,” said Rajesh Menon, Chief Executive Officer, Nedina.
Since it began its operations over a year ago, Nedina has grown into one of Qatar’s leading online e-commerce platforms.
The online marketplace is home to an extensive range of products, covering various categories from electronics, beauty, fashion, home appliances to sports equipment and pet supplies, among others.
Under its expansion plans and to continue serving the retail needs of customers in the country, Nedina has kick-started its delivery services of groceries and other essential items from some of most popular hypermarkets in Qatar including the Family Food Center, Indian Supermarket, Retail Mart and New Grand Mart.
Customers can shop for the required food and consumer items on the company's website (Nedina.com) or by ordering on the Nedina app. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
“We would like to inform our customers that we would continue to expand our operations and make online shopping a completely new experience for our customers," Menon said during the press conference.
He further mentioned that Nedina is committed to following all delivery protocols and safety standards set by the government of Qatar.
“We will take every step to ensure that our customers, our staff and the community, remain safe and healthy," he said.
Regarding the time of delivery for orders on Nedina, the CEO highlighted that the company has maintained a track record of delivering within 24 hours from the time of order.
"We will continue to stick to that timeline [for the deliveries ahead]," he said.
The hours of operation for Nedina's delivery service will be from 8 am to 8 pm. The last delivery will be at 8 pm, the CEO mentioned.
He also noted that the delivery service will cover most areas of Qatar, including Al Wakrah and Al Khor.
Customers can buy products online using convenient payment options such as Cash On Delivery, Credit and Debit Cards.
