Doha Metro’s Green Line opens to public on December 10
The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) has announced that Doha Metro’s Green Line will open to the public on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
The Line extends from Al Mansoura station to Al Riffa station.
The Green Line comprises 11 stations across Doha. Starting from Al Mansoura, Musheireb, Al Bidda, The White Palace, Hamad Hospital, Al Messila, Al Rayyan Al Qadeem, Al Shaqab, Qatar National Library, Education City, and the last stop is Al Riffa station.
The operation time for the Green Line will be the same as the Red and Gold Line, Saturday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, and on Friday from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
The Green Line will cater to all the shopping lovers, you can now just take a train to Mall of Qatar.
Metro users can interchange between Red Line, Gold Line, and Green Line at Musheireb station.
Rides cost QAR 2 for a single journey and QAR 6 for a day pass (Standard) while those traveling the Goldclub class will be charged QAR 10 and QAR 30, respectively.
The fee for acquiring a Standard Travelcard is QAR 10 while the Goldclub card costs QAR 100 (valid for five years from the date of purchase); credits for travel have to be added on to these cards. Children aged below five can travel for free.
