How to carry prescribed medicine to Qatar

Dear friends,

My parents are coming for 6mths family visit visa.. I have below queries.. Please support to clarify :-

1)My father has Cronic diabetes and depression.. He takes some medication regularly for it(incliding sleeping pills).. Please support to let me know.. If he can travel with 6mths medicianes for the same or any requirement to carry such medication?

2) is it allowed to bring cigarettes and if yes how much quantity is allowed(my boss asking me) to bring to Qatar?
