
World’s first ‘City in Space’ Theme Park to open in Qatar

In a series of firsts for Qatar in the recent months, another exciting entertainment venue is to take root in the country.
Msherieb Downtown Doha (MDD), announced recently that it will soon be home to the first ‘City in Space’ Theme Park in the world.
Named ‘Juniverse,’ the innovative arena will offer a captivating and dynamic learning experience to inspire, educate and entertain children of 4 to 17 years of age, reported Gulf Times.
The ‘edutainment’ park that combines education with entertainment will feature more than 50 attractions and rides, drawing youth to embark on futuristic missions pivoted on the idea of keeping the society safe and sustainable.
Children will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of challenging role-playing activities such as growing and harvesting food and conducting medical surgeries, among others.
For adults, team building activities and programs will be available.
Several food and beverages outlets, retail stores, and various attractions, incorporating world-class technology revolutionizing entertainment for young people, will be embedded within the park.

The announcement came during an agreement signing ceremony between Msheireb Properties, the national real estate developer and a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, and Talal Bin Mohammed Trading (TBMT), the location-based entertainment company operating in Qatar.
Ali al-Kuwari, Acting CEO of Msheireb Properties, commented on the occasion, “Opening a first-in-the-world theme park such as Juniverse aligns with our promise to create a city of firsts at the heart of Doha.”
“The edutainment center will be located at the Galleria, an enclosed air-conditioned shopping mall, making Msheireb Downtown Doha a family and tourist destination in Qatar with unique experiences that are not available anywhere else,” he added.
“We believe in the importance of innovating experiences that develop youth skills, instill joy and create lasting impressions,” said Ali bin Mohamed Al Attia, deputy CEO of TBMT.
Through creativity, innovation, game and design thinking, we believe we can revolutionize family entertainment and build world-class tourism destinations aligned with Qatar National Tourism Strategy 2030, Al Attia added.
MDD is the world’s most smartest and most sustainable fully-built city district and Qatar’s destination for leisure, living and business.
