Dear Friends,

Good Day to you All…

Myself Taufiq working in QATAR, want to bring my family (wife & child) on Tourist Visa from Mumbai to DOHA, please advise me in DOHA immigration they will ask my wife to show marriage certificate or not because till date I didn’t make marriage certificate.

I am worry because first time she in going to travel along with my child therefore even I am not taking risk to bring her here to “on arrival” I am preferring Tourist VISA.

Kindly if some have same experience kindly advise, only my concern here is they will ask marriage certificate or not if she will come on Tourist VISA.

Or Friends if you can suggest me on Tourist VISA what is DOHA Immigration requirements. Please help me & advise.

Dear all...these people are giving you wrong information...

Correct fact is...

If you have a Tourist Visa issued already..it is a permit for u to enter the country. Nobody can stop u.

They need to follow rules for a Tourist visa:

Like confirmed hotel accommodation

Return Tickets

Enough Money

Life is easy. Donot make it complex.

The cloud above your head is millions of tonnes of weight. IF it falls on your head, you will be chapathi..and dead within seconds....But if you ask somebody..that what will happen if the cloud falls on you..they will reply you will be dead...But if you keep thinking that ..a cloud can fall on you anytime..you cannot get out of your house man..!!!!

Dont read these comments below.

They will only confuse you.

Dear Toufiq

Don’t worry you can bring your family on tourist visa, She has to carry a debit or credit card, return Air ticket, Hotel booking copy and your QID.

Above requirements are for airports in India to issue boarding pass. If she has tourist visa then nothing will be asked her at Qatar immigration.

But if you stay in Hotel, the receptionist may ask the marriage certificate. Don’t worry just she is my wife check her PP.

No problem. 100% you can bring your family on tourist visa.

Taufiq: First of all, I failed to understand why you have asked Molten Metal for her views on your query. She did not tell you anything except lodging insults on me which is her daily habit as I stop her from misguiding, misinforming people giving false hopes and telling lies. This has been taking place fro seven years now. It is almost a daily affair. Since I warn people not to fall into her trap and accept her bag of lies, she naturally hates me. But I don't care. I believe, you were possibly hoping for another way from Molten Metal to solve your issue. You will never get one.

Please note that an Affidavit does not replace a marriage certificate in the Middle East. I feel most people in the authorities here may not even know what an Affidavit is. The authorities will always demand a legal and genuine marriage certificate. That is to my knowledge. Since I note that you are desperate to get your wife and child here, you may go ahead and try out whatever you think may be the best way Your name in her passport may help. I suggest you go to any immigration and passport office and check with the captain. He should be the best guide in your situation.

Taufiq: First of all I write the full name of the person posting at QL. I don't turn Mohammad to "Mo" and "Jesus" to "Jes" and "Catherine" to "Cat" and Ahmad to "Ah". A few seconds of extra effort to write a person's full name gives the person respect and importance. And then shortening the name of prophets!

Now coming to your query, the fact that you do not yet have a marriage certificate is a bit unusual and yes you will be facing problems not just at the airport but also in Doha. This is simply because there would be no way by which you could get to prove she is your legal wife. You will face difficulties no matter through which visa you try to get her here. Even for getting here on a tourist visa, I am sure you will be asked for a marriage visa.

Suggest you get a legal marriage certificate first before you attempt to bring your wife to Qatar.
