If you are in Qatar today, then you should expect some strong wind and thundershowers today, the country’s Met Department has said.

Yesterday, the department had warned Qatar’s residents to expect heavy dust and winds to follow rains this weekend.

Offshore areas also are very likely to see thundery rain and windy conditions on Thursday along with high seas, reported Gulf Times.

Yesterday, as per the Met Department’s forecasts, Doha and other parts of the country had witnessed scattered, light rain.

Offshore, the weather today will be cloudy with chances of scattered rain that may be thundery at times. Thundery showers and high seas can be expected, reported The Peninsula.

The wind speed may go up to 33 knots offshore and 26 knots inshore during thundershowers, with the sea level rising to 11ft.

Inshore areas will see cloudy conditions and scattered rain, which may become thundery at times. Slight dust is also likely in some places.

The minimum temperature on Thursday is expected to be 14°C in Dukhan, 15°C in Al Wakrah and Mesaieed, 16°C in Al Khor, Abu Samra and Ruwais, and 17°C in Doha.

The maximum, on the other hand, will be 21°C in Ruwais, 22°C in Al Khor, 23°C in Al Wakrah and Mesaieed, 24°C in Doha and 28°C in Dukhan and Abu Samra.
