Qatar will see one of the most magical evenings ever on Friday, March 1, 2019, as the first-ever concert bringing together Bollywood’s Sultans of Swag, Vishal and Shekhar and Qatar’s Grammy-nominee Fahad Al Kubaisi, to be styled by Indian fashion maestro Manish Malhotra, will ignite the stage!
Presented by FAB Entertainment, this début performance epitomizes the India-Qatar Year of Culture as the three vocalists gear up to enthrall the Doha audience at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena in Al Sadd.

Vishal Dadlani is a singer and vocalist of the electronic band Pentagram, and Shekhar Ravjiani is a trained classical singer. Vishal is also a judge of the globally acclaimed music talent show, Indian Idol and Shekhar of Sa Re Ga Ma.
The duo composed more than 250 songs featuring super-hit albums like 'Tiger Zinda Hai', 'Befikre', 'Ra.One' and 'Sultan'. Their biggest hit 'Swag Se Swagat' became the world's fastest song to hit 100 million views before going on to touch 650 million within a year.
Fahad Al Kubaisi is a Qatari singer, record producer, fashion model and human rights activist. Fahad will be collaborating with Vishal & Shekhar for a special performance and will be styled by Indian fashion guru, Manish Malhotra who is one of the most admired celebrity stylists in Bollywood.

3. Al Adaid Desert Challenge 2019

The fourth edition of Al Adaid Desert Challenge is set to take place on Friday, March 1, 2019, anticipated to be the biggest one so far of this one-day annual outdoor event.
Taking place at the ‘Inland Sea’ or ‘Khor Al Adaid’, a UNESCO recognized nature reserve in the south-east coast of Qatar from which the event derived its name, the race will kick off from the area next to Mawater Sand Dune, opposite to Sealine beach resort. Participants will then head towards the Inland Sea.
The Inland Sea hides one of the rarest sights in the world where the sea encroached deep into the heart of the desert resulting in a tranquil expanse of water that can only be reached by traversing over the beautiful golden sand dunes surrounding it.
Cyclists will have to overcome seven of these dunes as they cover a distance of 38.5 km to reach the finish line, while runners will follow a 26.7 km route that includes four dunes.
The UCI MTB Class-3 event is organized by Qatar Cyclists in association with Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and is supported by Qatar Cycling Federation.
A finish line camp will provide an area for the participants to cool off and celebrate after the race, while a non-competitive kid’s race at the camp will ensure that no family member is left out from enjoying the event.
4. Longines Global Champions Tour 2019
Dates: February 28 to March 2
Timings: Thursday 2:45 pm - 8:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 9:30 pm, and Saturday 8:30 – 7:30 pm.

Enjoy a world-class jumping competition at Al Shaqab while having fun at the festival area!
For the first time since its inception, the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) will be launched at Al Shaqab.
Some of the world’s best show jumpers including our very own Qatari riders, Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani and Bassem Hassan Mohammed (LGCT 2017 winner) are competing at Al Shaqab.
In addition to the competition, there are fun activities for families including pony rides, jumping castles, variety of kids’ activities, outdoor cafes and food stalls.
5. Anuradha Pal’s Group Concert

6. Biryani Festival 2019

The one dish that everyone unanimously loves indulging in is the mouth-watering Biryani. So foodies, get ready to tantalize your taste buds as the Biryani Festival is back with its second edition.
The flavorful 11-day festival is a must attend with the fragrance of biryani lingering in the air.
Visitors are able to taste and appreciate more than 100 types of distinct Biryanis. Some of the well-known favorites will be present including, but not limited to, mughlai, lucknow gosht, kashmiri vegetable, mussels, prawns, hara macchi, egg, harkmas (beef), malabar chicken, mattanjery chicken, kayikka’s beef, thalassery mutton, the traditional Afghani and Irani.
Do keep some cold drinks handy as those seeking a more spicy experience may find their palates on fire.

The ongoing Tarsheed Carnival will run until February 28 at Kahramaa Awareness Park.
Organized by the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), the Festival aims to raise awareness on water and electricity consumption in a rational manner in order to achieve water and electric sustainability. The ambition of the carnival is to increase community participation in the goals of rationalization while educating future generations about the wise use of water and electric resources.
The carnival will feature numerous activities for children, including game booths, painting, rides and others and will also offer a wide range of gastronomies. It will also include awareness activities for children for public and private school students.
