Hi everyone..
Did anyone else have this experience - Ooredoo increasing their Wi-fi package rental from 250 to 300 without prior notice? I had the 250 package - purchased years ago. I know they no longer have the 250 one, instead they have a faster - 300 package now on offer for NEW CUSTOMERS. I was totally fine with my speed with the 250 package and was in no need of having a FASTER - MORE EXPENSIVE one. (Although they claim it to be fast, i - only user of my router - get 12mbps max - In Sri Lanka, 3 years ago, i used an unlimited data plan with over 45MBPS of speed for a monthly rental of less than QR45) .
Exactly. This country has allowed the two of them (#Vodafone Qatar and #Ooredoo) to ROB people's money by not allowing any other companies to enter the market. People keep paying for what they didn't ask for. Its pure robbery in broad daylight.

It is a monopoly. However, Ooredoo are better than Voda.
My Shary and Home package was increased without any advance notice a few months back.
On Voda service, pathetic, my voda sim phone is off in the car and one find day on switching on, found I was paying for a service I did not opt for. Go to the agents and they say, you need to terminate the service, ???? Imagine how much free money Voda is making, if you multiply the charge by 100,000 users x 4 weeks, they are making millions.
Does CRA check these or have approved these charges
