Qatar Petroleum announces significant cuts to petrol, diesel prices in December
After several months of booming fuel prices, the cost of petrol in the country has been significantly cut.
Qatar Petroleum, on its official website, announced that Premium petrol would cost QR1.80 a litre in December, down from QR2.05 a litre in November. The cut will give vehicle users a saving of 25 dirhams per litre.
QP announced a similar 25 dirhams decrease for Super petrol in the country. While a litre of Super fuel costs QR2.10 this month, in December, the price will come down to QR1.85 a litre.
While marginal, the cost of diesel in December has also come down by five dirhams. Next month, a litre of diesel will be available for QR2, down from QR2.05 in November.
With the new prices, Premium petrol will come down to the April rate, while Super petrol will fall to January rates. Diesel too has not cost so low after may 2018.

Great news i won't feel as guilty as I've been feeling of late to take needless late night drives just for fun :-) as long as it stays around the 2 riyal point, its ok; we need to remember always that qatar still sells the worlds 10th cheapest fuel; in the gcc, only oman and Kuwait are cheaper i think; i had a friend in the UK when i was studying there and who had a big audi; he used to pay like 100 pounds - around 500 rials - for a tank.. even at current rates, we have it pretty good here alhamdlillah :-)
