Looking at my options here..

Hello QL folks!

I need some advice.

As an unmarried woman, born and raised in Qatar, I have been on a family visa all my life. Now my dad's resigning after 45 years in Qatar, so I'll have to change my sponsorship, and fly out of the nest.

I'm looking at all my options here:

1) Change sponsorship to the company I'm working for (what if they lay me off after a year or two)

2) Find a national who will sponsor me..(How?)

Are there another options?

Qatar is all I know, and since I have never been to my country, I'm not quiet ready to leave yet...nop.

I have around three months to make my desicion...

What are your thoughts?

Hi... You have three options...

1. Change sponsorship to the company you work for and if you get laid off you can transfer to the next company that you get a job with.

2. Get a national to open a business for you where you can change sponsorship to the the company you are a part of even if it is 100% owned by them or 49% for you and 51% for them according to the law.

3. Buy an apartment in the pearl where you will automatically get PR status.

Good luck...

Another option, Seriously would be to get married. Sooner or later you may have to leave the country. If you want to be here permanently, get married to a local.
