
Qatar’s population reaches its lowest levels in last 11 months

The Ministry of Development Planning & Statistics (MDPS), which keeps track of different growth indices in the country, has released latest statistics relating to Qatar’s population growth.
The latest statistic show that Qatar’s population has fallen to its lowest levels in 11 months — since August, 2017.
MDPS data shows that the number of people in Qatar at the end of July was 2,450,285, which is about 5.3% lower than those in June (2,580,734), reported Gulf Times.
بلغ عدد السكان داخل دولة قطر في نهاية شهر يوليو(2450000) نسمة بنسبة انخفاض قدرها 5.1 % عن نهاية شهر #يونيو الماضي و بانخفاض قدره 0.9%عن نهاية شهر #يوليو 2017.

The previous lowest numbers was recorded at the end of August 2017, when the country had some 2,446,328 people inhabitants.
The fall in numbers is due to a large number of residents having travelled to their home countries during summer vacations.
According to MDPS figures, there are 1,903,888 men in the country and around 546,397 women.
Qatar’s highest population in 2018 was recorded at the end of May when the country had 2,731,910 people, including 2,034,011 men and 697,899 women. It was the highest female population ever recorded in the country.
The country had set a new benchmark in February, 2018, when the number of men in the country had touched two million (2,018,190) for the first time.
