How to pay your Zakat al Fitr in Qatar
Earlier this month, the Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs had urged the public to pay Zakat al-Fitr in a timely manner. If you're wondering how you can donate to the Zakat Fund, Qatar Living has got you covered. But first, let us give you a brief on the Zakat Fund.
The Zakat Fund was established in 1994 because the government recognized that some members of society may feel reluctant about asking for help. Those individuals are assisted with their sensitivities in mind.
The ministry regularly points out that it is a duty (required) of every Muslim, whether male or female, minor or adult as long as he/she has the means to do so.
The Zakat Fund has collection boxes throughout Qatar. Here are some collection points where you may donate your Zakat al-Fitr:
Al Yarmouk Mira Society
Mosimair Mira Society
Umm Saeed Mall
Al Mountaza Mira Society
Giant Stores
Al Jabr Mall
Al Dafna Mira Society
Al Asmakh Mall
Souq Waqif
Al Naseria Mira Society
Family Food Center - Airport
New Lulu Hypermarket
North Mira Society
Landmark Mall
Lulu Hypermarket
South Mira Society
Villagio Mall
Family Food Center- Al Rayyan
Additionally, you may go directly to sub-offices of the Zakat Fund that are responsible for collecting the donations.

Thanks for the info.
However, you have not stated what is the amount that has been fixed as Zakat al Fitr for this year. In my country it varies from year to year and is usually announced at mosques during the last days of Ramadan. Could you update readers or this? Also, is it not okay if one pays the Zakat al Fitr at any of Qatar Charity or other organizations such Qatar Red Crescent points located at several malls?
