One should expect thundershowers and strong winds in the country today, according to Qatar’s Metrological Department.

The weather office also issued a marine warning for thundery rain, windy conditions and high seas today, reported Gulf Times.

Rain was detected at a number of places around the country yesterday, including Doha, and the wet spell is likely to continue today.

Last week, the Met department had said there were chances of rain around the country until the end of this week due to a spell of ‘unsettled weather.’

Today’s detailed forecast says cloudy conditions are expected both inshore and offshore along with scattered rain, which may be thundery in some places at times.

The wind speed may go up to 25 knots in inshore areas during thundery rain, and 30 knots offshore. The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 19C to 24C today.

brit thanks for the rizks update; but where have you been yourself? we looked far and wide for you; some said you got lost in industrial area, some said you were busy adding stickers to your pink Kia and others said you had straight up died; all those scenarios seemed entirely plausible to me so i couldn't be sure :-)

Your message is now outdated now brit. His lungi got drenched during last night's downpour and as such is holding at its proper place!

Rizks has texted to say that he will use weights to keep the lungi in place and cater for any sudden gusts
