Ministry of Education announces around 800 vacancies for teachers, administrators

Those who are looking out for teaching jobs in Qatar have reasons to be happy as the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced about 800 job vacancies for the posts of teachers and administrators.

The vacancies are open to people of all nationalities and will be for the academic year 2018-19, reported The Peninsula.

“The interested candidates can apply online at https://tawtheef.edu.gov.qa from December 15 to 31, 2017,” said the Ministry’s Human Resources Department Director Ali Al Muraghi.

He said the Department would sort out applications as per requirements, with the shortlisted applicants called for an interview later. Applicants will be notified about fulfilling the requirements according to first-come-first-serve basis.

The vacancies have been divided into three categories. The first category is related to education, second to administrative work and third to vocational training (all vacancies for both men and women), totaling about 800 jobs.

“The Ministry made contracts with 201 new teachers from Qatar and abroad who joined this year,” said Hasan Abdullah Al Muhammadi, Director of Public Relation Department at the Ministry.

This year, there are a total of 14,577 teachers in the Qatari education sector.

The jobs related to vocational training are required for carpentry, music teacher, specialist of physiotherapy and those in the field of disability.
