Petrol and diesel prices in Qatar to go up in October
After two months of stability, fuel prices in the country will go up in the month of October.
Starting last month, Qatar petroleum had taken over the duty of announcing fuel prices every month from the Ministry of Energy and Industry.
Fuel prices are set to go up by 10 dirhams a litre for petrol and 5 dirhams per litre for diesel, reported Gulf Times.
According to the new rates, a litre of Premium petrol will cost QR1.60 while that of Super petrol will be QR1.70 a litre. Diesel will cost QR1.55 a litre, reported The Peninsula.
Qatar had adopted the method of fluctuating fuel prices according to global market changes in May, 2016.
Every month, a special committee consisting of representatives of different government bodies review fuel prices and make recommendations on proposed prices for the local market.
