Responsibilities :

 

• EMC Clarrion, VNX Arrays - Storage Allocation requests need to be analyzed from the perspective of nature of requirement, availability and feasibility and follow the ITIL process for the allocation.
• Clariion and VNX - Creating RAID Groups, Creating Storage Pools, Create LUNs, Meta LUNs, Snapview Clone, Snapview Snapshot.
• Clariion and VNX allocations include creating RAID Groups, LUNS, Storage Groups, Extending or creating Meta LUNS.
• Registering new servers on the clariion and setting the appropriate failover mode settings. Troubleshooting the connectivity issues and fixing them.
• Creating RLP for Snapshots on Clariion and VNX arrays and creating Snapview Snapshots.
• Creating Clone Groups and establishing clone sessions for various requirements.
• Creating reports for storage configurations from Arrays.
• Brocade Switches- creating aliases and zones adding zones to effective zone configuration. Taking backups of zone configurations.
• SPA and ECC - Reporting on Storage Arrays using  ECC Performance Manager. Capacity Planning and Analysis.
• Monitor health of storage arrays and SAN switches on a daily basis.
• Creating Service Requests with EMC for hardware faults and coordinating with Customer Engineers to resolve the issues.
• Escalating issues to the L2/L3 teams accordingly depending on the severity of the incidents.
• Remote replication using Mirrorview Synchronous and Asynchronous.
• Knowledge on Recoverpoint operations.
• Powerpath management.
• Management and administration of Brocade SAN switches.
• Storage Provisioning from EMC Clariion and VNX storage arrays.
• Local replication using Snapview Snapshot and Clone.

Windows and VMware

• Good knowledge on Windows Active Directory installation and user and group management.
• Knowledge on configuring Roaming Profile and Mandatory Profile for users.
• Good knowledge on DNS services installation and configuration.
• Knowledge on Group Policy Objects.
• Knowledge on installation WDS.
• Planning and designing the patching and procedure in covering the servers and implementing.
• Installing, Configuring & Trouble shooting of VMware ESXi / ESX Server, VMware VSphere and Virtual Center.
• Creating and configuration of clusters in VCenter server.
• Expertise on Creating virtual machines, installing operating systems inside VM’s and installing tools and configure these VM’s based on customer requirements.
• Creating and Managing Virtual Machines and Templates and deploying Templates.
• Creating Clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduling (DRS).
• Migrating of Virtual Machines using VMotion.
• Knowledge on vMotion and sVmotion.
