Are you ready for the Qatar Summer Festival that kicks off on Thursday?
The new and improved Qatar Summer Festival will kick off at different venues tomorrow, according to the Qatar Tourism Authority.
On the first five days, there will be an array of special entertainment shows at participating malls, reported Gulf Times.
The free indoor shows, which are expected to attract shoppers and families, include Ice Age, a 30-minute show held three times daily at 3pm, 5pm and 8:30pm at the Doha Festival City.
Mallgoers can watch Ardha and guitar performances as well as Ambush Man the magician at the same mall.
At Al Khor Mall, families can enjoy Bollywood and Hip Hop dance shows, magic shows by Mysterious Ash and acro-balance shows between 5:50pm and 10:30pm. A henna artist will be in session on June 23 and 24.
Starting 6pm every evening, visitors and residents can follow a roaming circus, mime with human statues and have a whirl with Tanoura dancers at Gulf Mall.
Those heading to Mall of Qatar will find kids’ activities, handicraft workshops and cultural events. In the evenings, the Oasis Stage will come to life with live stage shows.
The fans of ‘Beauty & the Beast’ are in for a treat at Lagoona Mall. It will be performed on stage at 5pm, 7pm and again at 9pm daily throughout Eid.
At The Mall, families will find entertainment with the roaming mascots and parades around the mall between 6:30pm and 9:30pm.
For those longing for European street performances, Landmark Mall will feature Italian musical parades and amusing human statues from London every day between 5:30pm and 9pm. These shows will only run from June 26 to 29.
This year’s QSF will go till September 5 and will be celebrated by 77 hotels across the country, reported The Peninsula.
Retailers at participating malls will offer up to 50% discounts and other special promotions. In addition, for every QR 200 spent at any of the participating outlets in these malls, shoppers can enter the mega raffle draw to be held on the final day of QSF and have a chance to win one of 10 exciting cash prizes or a super luxury car.
