WORK EXPERIENCE

JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER – Al MUSAIRIE TRADING & CONTRACTING, QATAR. – October 2016 – Present – 8 months

Quality Department

• Currently serving as Quality Engineer- Civil on the project - Contract No. GCShow number13111100 “EPIC of Security buildings, boundary and landscaping works at MPAC Phase-4, Ras Laffan for Qatar Petroleum.
• Responsible for checking and reviewing the plans and specifications to ensure proper construction and quality implementation at site.
• Raise and perform inspections of materials and work promptly in pace with the construction team and in coordination with the client for their approval and furtherance as per the approved Quality Control Procedures and Inspection Test Plans.
• Monitor the activities on-site regularly to ascertain quality control and prevent non-conformance of work from AFC.
• Preparation of internal punch-points and dossiers for Mechanical Completion Certificate and final Commissioning.  

Planning Department

• Served as a planning engineer on the project – Contract No. GCShow number13111100 “EPIC of Security buildings, boundary and landscaping works at MPAC Phase-4, Ras Laffan for Qatar Petroleum.
• Monitor daily and weekly progress of activities with their quantities estimated and update accordingly in the schedule.
• Provide weekly break-up of activities to the site execution team.
• Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports by calculating Progress figures and S-curves based on the weightage distribution and submit it to the clients.
• Attend construction progress meetings with the client, present to them the future course of action, delay analysis report and draft the minutes recorded.
• Follow-up with sub-contractors to get their schedule of work and take care of corresponding requirements.

 

Site Execution

• Worked on the project- Contract No. MC Show number16105400 “Construction of K-Span car park shade at Gulf Helicopter Complex (35 cars capacity)" for Qatar Petroleum.
• Plan daily activities and manage resources efficiently to accomplish the target.
• Estimate the quantity of materials required in advance and intimate the subject department to procure it and ensure its delivery on time.
• Co-ordinate with sub-contractors to aid them in completing their scope of work.
• Attend to the client’s queries and update them with the proceedings of the work.

 

TRAINEE ENGINEER – PANCHAMISHREE CONSTRUCTIONS PVT.LTD, MYSORE, INDIA – MAY 2016 – 5 months

• Served on the project “Corn Crushing Plant” for the client Shree Gluco Bio-tech Pvt. Ltd at T. NarasiPura.
• Responsible for carrying out all the works from planning to execution with quality in place and dealing with client counter-parts on three buildings respectively, Process Boiler with Auxiliary Foundation; Power Boiler and Effluents Treatment Plant Building.
• Preparation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS); Estimation of shuttering, concrete and block-work quantities.
• Planning of various stages of work with effective resource management to stay on track with the project schedule. 

 

DESIGN TRAINEE - KARTHIKEYAN ASSOCIATES, CHENNAI – JUN 2015 – 15 days

• Trained on the basic fundamental concepts in the design of various structural components of a residential building.

 

TRAINEE ENGINEER – COROMANDEL ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED, CHENNAI – DEC 2014 – 1 month

• Worked on an industrial expansion project of “Komatsu” under the main contractor Kajima.
• Visited project sites during construction to gain practical exposure of executing various site activities, assessing safety of the work environment and consult with on-site engineers to clarify numerous doubts.
• Tested soils and materials to ensure quality of construction.
